Hi Folks! My name is Shareen, and I am a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Public Policy and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Recently, I have also been revisioning new ways to organize and create solutions by consulting for a local nonprofit, NCCASA, that does violence prevention work in the community. So, creating community solutions are a large part of why I am super excited to be a part of Novel Hand's team in order to think and write about people and policy-oriented solutions related to Racial Justice, Equity, Refugees & Immigration, Education, and Health. Aside from being a busy student + thinker, I am a lover of music, traveling, art, cooking, sleeping, and human connection. My biggest soft spots are for my German Shepard, Ramses, my Tabby Cat, Rajah, and, my numerous (not-so-baby-anymore) houseplants. If you saw them, you'd have soft spots for them too!
