Novel Hand exists to advance the best solutions to global humanitarian issues. We investigate sustainable and equitable impact that promotes the flourishing of both people and planet.
Our articles fall into three categories.

Cornerstone content articles are informative. These are articles that define or explain topics really, really well.
Recent and newsworthy articles are about a recent happening that relates to one of Novel Hand’s topic areas.
Unique perspective or synthesis articles provide a new perspective on a topic or synthesize information in a novel way.
Every article on the Novel Hand website should add value and information to the current conversation about the topic. Our articles aim to move readers toward sustainable and equitable impact. Rather than offering the perspective of a traditional news outlet, we seek to add value to existing conversations by offering valuable perspectives, experiences, and ideas in writing about humanitarian issues.
Pursuing the News and Neutrality
We are careful, conscientious writers. We do not publish without providing evidence for our claims. Sources are cited as links within articles or in podcast show notes.
We are nonpartisan, but we do stake claims and share our perspectives in our writing. This is an inherent truth about all reporting, and is even visible through selection of factual evidence we employ in our writing. Novel Hand has no political affiliations. While we frequently write about policy and government, we aim to be nonpartisan.
When writers interview subjects whom they know personally or professionally, that is disclosed at the end of relevant articles and podcast episodes.

To request a correction to an article or podcast, send us an email at alexa@novelhand.com. Our editorial team will carefully review your message before making updates.
Any updates to an article or podcast after its initial publication will be noted at the end of the article or in the podcast show notes.
Guest Writers
