Hey everyone! It’s been so fun to watch the Novel Hand team grow over the past three months. I didn’t think that our team would grow from just the two of us to six members so quickly, but it has brought me so much joy to welcome friends onto our team. I’ve learned about topics like environmental justice, persons experiencing incarceration, and gentrification from our contributors, and I know that I have so much more to learn from them.
This summer, we want to continue growing our team and learning. So we’re hiring interns!
There are two positions open. We’ll hire one marketing and graphic design intern and several writing and research interns. If you’re a college student looking for opportunities for this summer, you can read more about these positions and apply below. If you know a college student who’s looking for a remote internship, send this post their way.
Marketing & Graphic Design Intern
The marketing and graphic design intern will work directly with the editor and creative director to create content for the Novel Hand website and social media channels. He or she will create graphics and social media content, complete a long-term project, and write one post per month.

Writing & Research Intern
As members of our team, writing and research interns will work directly with the editor to write weekly posts in a topic area of interest. They will also collaborate with contributors and other team members to research humanitarian topics.
