Our team of over 20 students and young professionals comes from a wide variety of backgrounds. We represent 12 universities, including Brown University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Virginia.
The majority of our team contributes to the Journal by writing articles and creating multimedia. Our leadership team runs the website, leads our marketing, and supports the rest of the team.
Novel Hand Fellow 2022
Novel Hand Fellows will complete a summer internship and will join our team in a role in the fall.
During the summer, you’ll split your time between writing and an ongoing project. Expect to spend 10-15 hours per week on the internship. Based on your summer experience, you will join the Novel Hand team in the fall as a contributor or in a multimedia, community engagement, or other role. This will be a reduced time commitment of up to five hours per week.

Contributor
Contributors write one to two articles per month for Novel Hand in one to three topic areas. They are expected to engage with those topics in their communities. Specifically, we are looking for contributors who are interested in learning and writing about poverty and development, and social enterprise and business. Prior writing experience is encouraged but not required. Fill out this form to apply to be a contributor.
